IP35 auxiliary 12V input question

So I see my IP35 has a 4-pin molex connector near the first PCI-e slot that is labeled ATX4P1. The manual says this is to provide aux power to PCI devices, but that's about it. All I have installed are my 8800GT, which has its own power lead, and my Audigy 2. Any reason I would need to hook that aux connector to power? Any harm is leaving it alone?

Yes, plug in a power lead there. It won't hurt anything, and a number of reports of mysterious instabilities seem to be cleared up by plugging in such "extra" power connectors.
