its a dedicated server running on a celeron 733 with 256mb pc133 on a 768K up cable connection

so far most people are getting 50-80 ping...post in the thread how it does if you connect...lagginess, ping times, how many people were on, etc...

i only have a dm server up now...within a couple days i plan to add bot protection and a railz server as well

Well, apparently I don't suck any less than I did in the days of 300+ ping. 😛

It would be cool if we could get some more players for later though. :thumbsup:

well...if anyone wants to get in the game pm me and check back with this thread...we'll try to get 5 or 6 of us on there at once!
 
haha those were the days. I remember when everyone had 300 ping and seeing someone with under 200 was just awesome. haha a CS server wtih everyone having 400 ping is just so weird now adays. I am at home for spring break and am getting 80 ping versus the regular 30 ping i get at college and it annoys the hell out of me lol.


I loved Q2 CTF. It was great. Simple, fast, and just plain fun. I actually prefer q2 over q3. I mean honestly...why did they have to mess with the rail gun....the q2 version looks so much cooler then the lame q3 version.

i know...i like q2 rail better also...if you play q2 dm come to my server sometime...its still up 🙂
