IP Configuration

I want to release and renew my IP. How do I do this in Windows Xp? Winipcfg only works in 98/NT. thanks for your help guys.

ipconfig /release

IPCONFIG /ALL will show you your settings as well. 🙂

The following is the result of ipconfig /renew:
Connection Specific DNS Suffix: Mshome.net
IP Address:x.x.x.x
Subnet:x.x.x.x
Default Gateway:x.x.x.x

What is Connection Specific DNS Suffix? AS for MShome.net, well, when I tried to go to MShome.net, I get a "Page not found".

I am asking all this because I have connection but cannot surf the net.
