IP Config/renew doesnt work

pc will not renew the IP i scanned for spyware...but am limited to the update option for the fact the pc will not renew the IP.

ive uninstalled and reinstalled the hardware and software on the NIC side....any ideas?

Did you release then renew?

Are you keeping the old ip address, and not getting a new one; or are you renewing and getting a 169.x.x.x address? Is this your external ip, or your internal?

staying 0.0.0.0

ive tried release renew but renew also releases

ive also reset the IP stack..also with no avail

rebuilt the winsock and that solved the problem
