Is there a way to have two separate configs for one LAN Connection so that when I travel to and from work and home I do not have to manually type in the connection info every time. Yea I know WinXP does this but is there something in Win2000 or a prog that will do this for me?

Norton Mobile Essentials (although it's there's not an xp version) would support this. XP, as you stated does to. I've heard of a couple third party programs that do the same, I'll go try and check my notes.

One question, does your work use DHCP? If so, setting up a dhcp server at home (or using something like a Linksys broadband router) would help make the issue transparent.

There's a little program called "Netswitcher" that does just what you want. Do a google search and you'll find it.
