no, but anyway, it certainly seems obvious that he completely turned in front of the guy. But I'm curious what the light cycle was like and if scooter dude was speeding through a yellow-red light. ...not that such a situation absolves the left-turning truck, but..you know, seems like a very slow turn-into-accident....which makes me think the scooter came out of nowhere, possibly zooming through the intersection.

Some intersections have the left turn at the end of the posession (this isn't one) so it's possible the motorcycle could have run the light.

Or they both could have ran a yellow/red.

Yeah everyone is doing this bullshit here...they ride into the oncoming lane hoping traffic will see them and just stop. At our four way stops they drive into the middle of the two lanes forcing everyone to let them go. We have had a few head-ons where people must have assumed they had a clear lane.
