While in the bed this morning reading about Flash and Kitkat @XDA, I've encountered this cute little browser.
iOS7 Browser
It has nothing to do with Flash (or iOS, lol sorry), but since I am a good person I thought I should share this excellent browser with fellow AT'ers.
While the browser looks to be one of those AOSP/Webkit based, stripped-down browser, it gives more options than what I usually see in those browsers. Its appearance is like Safari on iOS7  , and it weighs only 384 kB.
What really surprised me is its performance. I loaded 5 tabs: AT forum, AT Lumia 521 Review in print mode, NY Times front page (full version), NY Times article (3 pages) in print mode, and Amazon. All tabs loaded fine and scrolled smooth. RAM consumption is somewhat on the high side, which is understandable considering its smooth performance. (~130 MB on the Note 8.0) After checking my emails, I went back to the browsers and found all 5 tabs intact. This might become my go-to dirty browser.
For all this niceties, it doesn't handle (infamous) theverge.com graciously. It looks as if the browser is limiting certain amount of memory per tab. Other than theverge.com, my first impression on this browser is very positive. It could be worth your look as well.
