iOS eBay App - Anyone notice odd search results?

I noticed this on my iPhone previously, but now with frequently using the iPad app, its much more apparent - Some searches come up empty when there are clearly results to be found (even making sure search other countries is on).

For Example:

I search Amperex - I find results with ECC88 and 6DJ8 in the title
I search ECC88 - no results
I search 6DJ8 - no results

Anyone else notice this?

I had it on my iPhone and it seems very limited. I now use my desktop/laptop whenever possible, for eBay.

In fact, sometimes I resort to using eBay in Safari on the iPhone due to the eBay app's search weirdness. I don't know if I have it set up right or what, but clearly something's wrong, either on my end or else on theirs.
