iOS App Store hijacks

It is the Astock and hrblock as provider. I had both, whereas other people have ah one or the other and got popups. I'm betting right now on them having something in common.

Yeah, still making the forums nearly unusable on iOS/Safari. Ghostery browser seems to eliminate it.

I've heard of the same problem effecting Android and Windows Mobile. But I'm not about to turn off all the adblockers on my W8 tablet to find out.

Find those responsible and have them flogged, please.

I especially love how it asks "do you want to open the app store?" AFTER it already redirects. Does it send everyone back one page too?

Yesterday I was able to go through a thread CTRL-clicking the quote button on every post I wanted to reply to and they would open in a new tab as I continued reading the page. Today, I can no longer do that. The tab takes focus away from the tab I am reading in no-matter-what. This is over-riding the way the browser is supposed to handle these links. Something tells me it is related to these referral links. This is in Chrome for Desktops. It is the equivalent of long-pressing a link and telling it to "Open in Background" in iOS.

These iOS store hijacks are completely killing the mobile experience on these forums for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Has anyone figured out a temporary workaround by somehow filtering ads through a proxy or something?

Happened to me today on this forum with my iPhone. Took me to the iOS App Store page for "DraftKings" (some kind of fantasy sports app).
