I've noticed something incredibly strange lately on my iOS 5.0.1 devices: every browser that isn't Safari is practically unusable. Has anyone else noticed this at all? More information below...
I use Atomic Web Browser as my main browser, and I noticed lately that I'll try and use it over 3G or WiFi, and the performance is just awful. Sometimes, it will not load pages at all. I'll take the exact same URL, put it into Safari and it loads without a hitch. Even clicking elements on a page sometimes doesn't work. I've also noticed the same problems with integrated browsers such as those in the Facebook and Twitter apps.
I have SlickDeals on my Twitter feed, and I saw a deal there earlier. I hit the shortened link, wait for awhile, but it still didn't come up yet. I hit the arrow icon at the bottom, go to "Open in Safari..." and bam, 2-3 seconds later and it's fully loaded. This is practically bewildering at this point.
This also happens on my iPad. I thought my iPad was having similar connection issues as my phone (except over WiFi instead of 3G), but I switched to Safari and everything worked. :|
