Pangu has released version 1.1.0 of their jailbreak tool. They added english and took out the 3rd party piracy. Here is the info..

On Monday, a group of China-based hackers released a public jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 to the public dubbed Pangu. It is an untethered jailbreak, and since the initial release, it has been a Windows-only jailbreak.

On Sunday, the Pangu iOS hacking team released an updated version of its Pangu jailbreak tool dubbed version 1.1.0. The updated jailbreak tool brings a number of improvements, including support for Mac OS X. Other improvements include:

- Bringing down the file size of the jailbreak tool (it's more than half of the size now)
- Fixing a problem with boot loops that could happen under uncommon circumstances
- Using new vulnerabilities instead of the ones used in the original jailbreak tool
- Improved networking security
- An improved user interface that now displays in English
- English version no longer tries to bundle third-party software with Cydia

The team notes that it is not necessary to re-jailbreak your existing Pangu jailbreak if your jailbreak is running fine. The team is planning to release an updated version of the untether package by way of Cydia later on for all who are currently using the Pangu 1.0 jailbreak. You do not need to run the new tool over your existing jailbreak either.

Pangu 1.1.0 is compatible with:

iPhone 4
iPhone 4s
iPhone 5
iPhone 5c
iPhone 5s
iPad 2
iPad with retina display
iPad Air
iPad Mini
iPad Mini with retina display
iPod touch 5g

Old Post:

For those of you who have been waiting for this, the day has come. You need to get on it quickly as Apple is going to be seeding 7.1.2 soon. It is from a Chinese company, so you are going to have to follow instructions from other people, but people are reporting that it works great.

Here is the thread on Reddit, follow the instructions from the top post. I will paste them in here in case you can't visit the site.

http://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/28vrub/the_ios_711_jailbreak_by_the_pangu_team_has_been/

I'll be your Guinea Pig guys.
I'm on 7.1.1 and I'm ready to take one for the team.
I'ma just download then use Boot Camp.
EDIT 0: WOW THANKS FOR THE GOLD! First time I got this thing :)
EDIT 1: JAILBREAK SUCCESS! Here's the instruction:
Make sure you have iTunes installed.
Edit your iPhone's date to June 2, 2014
Open the PanGu.exe file
Click the black button to the right (also UNCHECK THE CHECKMARK where you see random characters and the "PP")
As soon as the "brush stroke" loading bar fills to 20%, the PanGu app will appear on your phone
Tap it
Select Continue
It will fill the loading brush stroke until 80% and your iTunes will open (it will only open IF you have iTunesHelper.exe on your Windows Taskbar)
Close iTunes
Your device will reboot
When it opens again, wait for the brush stroke to complete to 100%
Your device will reboot once more
The process will be finished 100%
The PanGu app will be replaced with Cydia
Do your usual stuff by opening Cydia and continue with what you want to install by then.
For precautionary measures, install Complete PPSync Remover (on http://cydia.angelxwind.net repo) because even though you uncheck the "PP" on step 4, it installs it anyway (internally without the app showing)
Latest iTunes
Windows 7
iPhone 5S
7.1.1 firmware
EDIT 2: First thing I installed was iFile, then SwipeSelection. Both works flawlessly! You may encounter a tweak saying "not compatible with your iOS version" but it still works.
EDIT 3: Nightmode works! My eyes thank you!
EDIT 4: Installed HideMe7 to see if it will mess up by using a feature hiding tweak. Still rockin' it.
EDIT 4b: NEW FINDINGS. Notes and Reminders crashes. So far amongst all the stock apps, those two crashes upon opening. Uninstalled HideMe7 just to check and still does.
EDIT 4c: IT WAS NIGHTMODE that crashes Notes and Reminders! I uninstalled it (along with AppList and RocketBootstrap prerequisites) and they're opening again!
PROTIP: If installing tweaks, do as I do. Take screenshot first so you know what are the prerequisites of each tweak so in case something happens, you know what to uninstall.
Wanna know whether a tweak you like is 7.1.x compatible? Check here (provided by /u/lock74er)
You can also check tweak compatibility for yourselves and report to tweaklist@gmail.com regarding your findings to update the said list.

After installation, install this to get rid of the crap the program installs on your phone.

Make sure to install Complete PPSync Remover from http://cydia.angelxwind.net.

Here is another How-To with pictures.

Assuming it's legit, hopefully this will show up on Apple TV 2, but I doubt it.

It's legit, but it's so iffy I won't touch it, since it's bundled with a piracy store, and heaven knows what else it's bundled with we DON'T know about.

Also, what do you need to jailbreak for now, anyway? Only things I want are a keyboard that isn't worthless, and quick replies. I get the latter in iOS8.

As an aside, if ionic wouldn't be such an bunghole, the JB community wouldn't have to worry about a JB bundled with a bunch of junk. He wants to whine about his hack being stolen...well, maybe you shouldn't have been showing off that you CAN JB a 7.1.x device and then saying "but I hate the JB community so you can't have it!"

I use it for adblocking and tethering. Also, skipping ads in iTunes Radio because I pay for iTunes Match but don't have it enabled on my phone, since my entire music library is on there already, and it does weird things with syncing.

I jailbreak for Flux (makes reading at night easier) and iFile.

There's just something very iffy about this crack. Not from a well known JB team. Lord knows what it's bundled with that you don't see.

Absolutely this. I again will point at ionic and say I blame him (and those like him) for this fiasco. They had the power to prevent a JB from being made that bundled spyware.

I'm still on 7.0.6 and would hold off updating until Apple releases 7.1.2 in coming days. Pangu is expected to jb 7.1.2 too. Plus, some of the popular jb tweaks still need to be updated for 7.1.x.

Aside from the piracy store and enterprise certificate… The http://pangu.io jailbreak does not have “spyware” or malicious trails.

I was on 7.1.1 so I had no jailbreak. I can confirm this is legit after jailbreaking my 5S. Some tweaks aren't compatible but most I use are. I'll try to answer any questions. Working great so far. Much more stable and smooth than my 7.0.6 jb I had a couple months ago.

I've missed jb so much.

Isn't Apple planning to release 7.1.2 in the next few days? Supposedly the jailbreak is compatible unless they put in a last minute patch.

Right, there is no way of telling if it will be patched in the 7.1.2 GM, so I suggest you jailbreak now while you can. If it is unpatched on 7.1.2 you can again update and jailbreak without any issues.

If that's the case, I'll just leave it on 7.0.6. Apparently the updated Podcast app is having all sorts of problems with iOS 7.1.1 all of a sudden.

What's stopping a jail broken phone to send all your contacts, sensitive information, to hackers such as the folks who release the jail breaks?

I jailbroke my iPhone 4 on the 1st day that this tool was released. It's flawless so far. I am not sure is it safe, but at least it is stable.

Other people in the jailbreak community go over every release with a fine-toothed comb to check for spyware. MuscleNerd and iH8tesn0w have both said this jailbreak is safe.

IMO iOS 7 before 7.1 was problematic. The main problem was instability, which was fixed on iOS 7.1. Also TouchID would "degrade" over time in iOS 7.0.x but that was fixed in 7.1, although that's irrelevant to you if you don't have an iPhone 5s.

Exactly. Plus, jailbreak gives you ability to make your phone even more secure than the stock iOS from Apple. Firewall, Protect My Privacy, iCaughtU, iAppLock, etc. Double-edged sword though if you don't know what you're doing.

Except any JB-able phone can be stolen and used freely. A phone with no JB cannot get past OOBE if locked via find my phone.

Freely? How can you use a stolen jb phone that has a passcode lock/TouchID, non-default SSH password, protected apps, and traps like iCaughtU? With FindMyDevice, you will not even be able to turn off the device. You will have to figure out how to restore it to the latest iOS and deal with Activation Lock. At that point, if you get to it, its no better or worse than a vanilla phone.

7.1.2 literally rolled out in between me updating my iPhone and iPad. Curious to know if the JB still works.
