iOS 6.1 killed the app store. iPhone 4s

Edit: Apple most have seen this thread and beamed a magical update to my phone, because the App Store just started working again. I hope that it stays that way.


















I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1. Now, the app store is a mess. Updates don't show up, even though the app store icon indicates that there are available updates. When I press the updates button inside of the app store, I get a network connection error. I tried restoring the device, jailbreaking it, restoring a backup, etc. Nothing has worked so far.

The app store displays a blank screen and then a message, "The request timed out," pops up after a few minutes.

When I googled the issued, all that I found was this thread at apple.com. Apparently, a fair number of users are having this issue, and it has not been resolved.

I haven't run into it, no.

Is this on 3G or on Wifi, or both?

Nope! My 4S can reach the App Store just fine.

Mine too, by WIFI and 3G. Verizon is my provider.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 5 yesterday, but it's working now. My iPad Mini was working fine yesterday.

I had a little trouble with the app store pages taking a really, really long time to load. Maybe the TCP/IP connection just timed out, and now it's fixed on Apple's end?
