iOS 4.3.1 JB is out, now what do I do? (iPod Touch)

I have an iPod Touch 4G. It shipped with 4.1. I want to upgrade to 4.3

1) I jailbroke my iPod Touch
2) I have a few Cydia apps
3) I have a few installous apps too
4) I have a few paid apps

What's the best way to go about this?

Upgrade and hope that everything is intact and then apply RedSn0w?

-OR-

Back everything up and use PwnageTool to do a fresh flash of a JBed 4.3.1?

If latter I'm not even sure how to backup everything? I don't mind reinstalling everything, but I'm more concerned about the long bathroom breaks I've taken to get this far in Angry Birds, or my 13+ hr flight to Taiwan spent beating the entire Real Racing 2 game? I'd kinda like to keep that data...

I **think** after you update you just restore and you should have all your saves. But im not positive. I know i lost some saves i dont remember why or how.

I've been on "Uploading ramdisk" for about 8 minutes now... is it supposed to take this long? :\

EDIT:

It eventually just rebooted, so I gave it another try and it looks like I'm good! Well, at least I see a bunch of text on my screen .

its a known issue. i googled it and there was some guide on redmondpie that taught me, so I redid the JB and I'm good.

Yeah, mine's working fine. Although, it has been pretty choppy lately, but that was even before I jail-broke it :\.
