ION LE question.

I bought Acer AspireRevo AR1600 (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-AspireRevo-AR1600-U910H-Desktop-Windows/dp/B002O3W44Q) and upgrade to 4GB. The system only sees 3GB, however.

When I check the graphics property, it shows it's using 512MB. So where did the other 512MB go? For system and I/O?

And does anyone know if ION LE has its own memory, or it uses shared memory on the system?

I know this kind of topics has been discussed a lot of time, but I just want to confirm.

32 bit Windows only has a 4 GB address space for all memory and memory mapped devices including video. It's common for anywhere from 0.25 - 1 GB of your 4 GB to be unusable depending on the video card and motherboard.

Thanks. Since it wasted so much memory, I'm going to take 2GB out and use it on my laptop.
