Iomega ZIP250 - Fatal Internal Error Encountered - Error Code 8023

I receive the following message when using Iomega 1-Step Backup under Win98SE:

Fatal Internal Error Encountered
Unable to continue - Error Code 8023 etc, etc

The error occurs when backup is 93-99% complete. The drive is an internal ATAPI 250Mb unit. Scandisk reports no errors.
PLEASE HELP! Does anyone have any idea what Error code 8023 is??? I have found no record of it on help or from online support.

when stuff like this happens to me i just restart the machine

when stuff like this happens to me often i format the hdd and reinstall the os

i would only temp back up to zips and floppies

longer back ups to high quality cds, not low quality cds

the error might be temp and be solved by restarting the machine
