What is this for? what does it do?
Seems like I can use the drive fine w/o it.

I just bought the USB self powered Zip 250 (yeah I know a Plextor 12x burner would've been better, but my wife needed it for work)...

Supposedly from the Iomega website, it states that IomegaWare "provides integrated features that will help you find, format, protect, manage and change settings on your Iomega drives."

A second utility on the disk called QuikSync"...will protect you from data loss caused by disasters such as viruses, power outages, computer crashes and accidental deletion. Files saved to specified folders on a local hard drive or mapped network drive are automatically copied to a separate drive designated as the "sync location."

I dunno I haven't bothered to install the software myself either...although the QuikSync actually sounds pretty good to backup critical system components (system.ini, IE Favorites, other stuff). If anyone has tried it and likes it, please post and share the news :)
