Iomega Predator 24x USB CDRW at Dell $139.86 AC/AR

I guess you've all seen some of the stackable coupons going on at Dell and Gateway. Lots of good deals to be found.

You can get the Iomega 24X/10X/40X Predator CD-RW External USB 2.0 Drive at Dell using the right coupons for $169.86 shipped, and there's an $30 Iomega rebate making the final total $139.36.

Lowest price on pricewatch is $198 but they only have 2nd day shipping for $14.95 and I didn't go far enough in the checkout process to see if any tax would be added.

The Dell figure of $169.86 is final before order submission.

i thought USB burners are restricted to 8x because of the bottleneck in transfer speed of USB ports? or is this drive USB 2.0?

It says USB 2.0 (both in the specs and in my post).

Seems like a pretty good deal if you're looking for one.

I have the 16x USB 2.0 External Iomega burner and it is great. It runs perfect and the Hotburn software works like a snap. I got it as a free replacement (upgrade) to my internal drive and I am very happy. Just an FYI, almost all systems will not already have USB 2.0 ports and most of the add in cards require Windows 98 Second edition or newer. It works great with Windows 2000 and XP. Very hot post. Good find.
