Iomega CDRW 30$ rebate no good?

I'm sure by now y'all have had time to play with your new iomega drives from CompUSA. Have you looked at the rebate form? One form just expired, and another form, says valid on purchases made between Jan 1st, 2001 and so-and-so...

Most of us purchased on Dec 31st... Any ideas on whether we can still use the rebate?

Good thing I got mine on 01/01/01 from BB. Infact I just sent it out yesterday.

as I understand it, the 12/31 expiration rebate applies to purchases made by that date...so, if you bought it on 12/31, just use the old rebate form. If you bought 1/1, use the new one. Just be aware of the date(s) by which you have to send the rebate in.

As long as your store receipt has the purchase date on it between the periods of the expired rebate form can still use that form to get the rebate.

Usually there is a lter deadline to get the form to the manufacturer to claim the rebate. I am not sure of the Dec31 form but looking at the Jan 1 form: Purchase between Jan 1, 01 - Mar 31, 01. Request must be received no later than April 30, 01.

busmaster, I'm sure if you do just a little bit of searching in the other threads on this deal you'll find a couple links to the expired rebate form.
