CompUSA has the Iomega 8x4x32 ZipCD 650 on sale for $129.99 in Atlanta, GA. Called Staples and price-matched. Used $30 off $100 Staples coupon. That put me at $99 + tax - no charge for shipping because I purchased at B&M.
Iomega currently has a $30 off MIR on this drive.

$129.99 Price matched
-$30 Staples Coupon
-$30 Mail In Rebate
-------
$69.00 + tax

you pricematched CompUSA B&M with Staples.com? Thats interesting.. does comp usa have this on their site somewhere?

To anwser my own question:
sku number 275720 Here it is on the compusa.com site

Second day delivery is $8.50 which staples will probably add to your pricematch. Other than that should work.

I called Staples at 1-800-3STAPLE and talked to a CSR. I asked him if they price-matched CompUSA. He said yes. He needed the local stores phone number to verify the price and that they had at least one in stock. I sat on hold for about 5 minutes. He came back and told me everything checked out ok and they would pricematch. I then asked him if I could use an online coupon code in this order and he said yes so I went ahead and placed an order. I think my total came up to $106 after taxes. He said it would be here tuesday by Staples courier.

Tuesday? It really gets my goat when staples.com wants to charge overnight shipping on anything you pricematch against, but does it come overnight?

NOPE!!!

They didn't charge me a dime for shipping. I don't mind waiting a few days for free shipping. I got out of their hidden charges and shipping charges because I was pricematching against a B&M store. It didn't cost me anything to walk down to CompUSA to buy it from them so Staples couldn't impose their rule about matching shipping times or charges.

I tried that with the BB 12x CDRW price match. They kept me on hold, called the local BB, and then they came back and told me BB's salesman said they were priced at $279. I told them they were on sale (they knew that already), but they said that's what the local guy said, so that's what they could sell it for. If I wanted the ".com" price match, I would get charged $7 to process it, + $50 for overnight shipping. No thanks.

You should call back in the morning and see if they get a different BB CSR on the phone. Maybe that CSR will give them the sale price.

Just an idea.
