Iomega 8x4x32 internal for 99.99 minus coupons at OD B&M...

OD has this internal drive for 99.99 sku 464161 and use the 15 of 50 coupon or pricematch with staples(SKU=435458) and use the 25 off 100 code to get it for $ 75. Its not 12x or 16x, but it will get the job done. If there is a reabte it would be even better.

I had a tough time finding out who manufactured this drive when I bought it from staples, but I believe this drive is a Philips PCRW 804K. As I understand it, it can copy safedisk 2.0 but can't do anything else terribly advanced. I haven't tried anything like that though, so all I can say it that it works fine burning video and data cds. With the media I'm using (prime peripherals 80 minute), when I burn with Nero it reduces recording speed to 4x after a minute or so "due to recording media." It doesn't do this with ezcd, but one day ezcd lost its ability to burn vcds so I switched to nero.
