Buy.com - Iomega 16x CD-RW drive $93 after rebate
(thanks, Bob B. of Gainesville FL)

This is a 16x CD-R 10x CD-RW burning drive for PC's. Product details from Iomega.
1. Apply a $15 off $150 coupon.
2. Add the Iomega 16x10x40 CD-RW drive to your cart for $148.95.
3. Add another $1.05 of anything to your cart to get you over $150. For example, you could add two mechanical pencils for $0.59 each. Your purchase price will be $135 for the drive, plus add about $8 for shipping.
4. Iomega has a $50 mail-in rebate.
It looks like the Iomega drive is actually a Plextor 161040A. This is an excellent deal for a Plextor, probably the best CD-RW on the market today

Afroweeny...oops, I meant Afrosausage.

Can you tell from looking at the Iomega that it's a Plextor. What makes you think it's the Plextor 161040A?

Just dbl checking before I lay my hard earned cash down for another (supposed) rebadged Plextor.

Amazon.com has approx same deal, but you don't need to add extra items to order.
Iomega 16x10x40 drive for $134.95 ($149.95, less $15 off $100 coupon) + Shipping approx $7 to $8

Mfg $50 rebate brings net cost to $84.95

i've owned both....the iomega has burnproof....

essentially, the iomega is a sanyo...i think one of the pioneers in burnproff technology...
