What is IOH CSI=QPI (QuickPath Interconnect) used to be known as CSI (CommonSystem Interface)

What is the difference between IOH CSI voltage and VTT voltage.
IOH CSI Defult is1.16 and max is 1.56v.
VTT Voltage: default is 1.2v.
Does anyone know what this odd volting setting does on a 58x mb .
Web search 95% leave it auto defult or 1.16
Two review sites seemed to use it at 1.46v for a higher oc.
