I posted this on Newegg as well, but am hoping to get an answer if it exists:

I have a Logitech MX Duo Wireless keyboard/mouse setup and need a 2-port KVM. After a lot of searching and finding the comments from the 4-prot Miniview Extreme:

I decided to try the 2-port version. It does in fact work as described with this keyboard/mouse. All the extra mouse and keyboards are functional which I am very happy about. However, I also have the Yamaha 2.1 (YST-MS50) speakers which sound great without the KVM. The problem is if the sound signal is routed through the KVM, the subwoofer is silent and I only get sound from the two satellites!?! I called Iogear tech support and they said that the KVM was not designed to work with 2.1 speakers - only stereo speakers work. Is this true or maybe I have a bum unit?

Buy a male 3.5 jack splitter, it'll spilt on female into two male connections. You hook your speakers into that and plug the male ends into the computers. Problem solved.

Oh I see, that means both computer's audio signals will be fed to the speakers simultaneously (and also the other computer's sound chip) correct? This is ok for each sound card's circuitry? Thanks.

Yes, its perfectly fine. You can even play them at the same time, it won't hurt the speakers, or the sound cards.
