I recieve the error "failed to load IO driver" when I try to load the Asus Probe and someother Asus utilities from the disk that came with the motherboard.
The history on this new build is I had a media card reader connected when I installed windows XP pro. This caused my harddrive to be labeled H:. I ran the system for a week like this and had all the Asus programs running fine. Then I reinstallled windows to get the drive to be labeled C:. Everything is now back up and running except this one problem.
Anyone have any ideas? What is the IO drive and where is it tring to load from?

I have the answer.

You have previously installed the asus utility and it never uninstalled properly.
To fix it use windows explorer to navigate to C:\program files\asus\Ai Booster

delete the directory and everything in it. You may find some items are read only.

reboot and reinstall ai booster. This time it will install without the error message.

Let us know how you get on
