InWin Q500N questions.

I've spent the last few days searching for a case for a new system, and I guess I decided on the InWin Q500N. Anybody care to comment on how well this case will work for an o/c PIII 700 system? How about a good place to purchase this case? I can get it from MultiWave for about $95 shipped with a 300W power supply but it doesn't say who makes it. Do all the Q500N come with the same 300W supply supplied by InWin?

Thanks

Ryan

i got my inwin from mwave, and my cousin also got the same inwin, but im not sure from where. our PSUs are the same.

Thanks Kid Viciou$. Do you recall how many power pig tails it has for attaching drives, and does it has a separate on/off switch on the back of the PSU?

I have a Q500n using a 650e @ 900Mhz...No, all Q500n cases do not come with a 300w PS...you have to pay more...and yes, 95.00 shipped with a 300w PS is a fairly good price

Umm.......ive got a Q600n (same thing).....i got it from egghead.com when they had free shipping for $82.99...i looked recently and there up to 96.99 +6.95 S+H....whoa!.......yea the mwavw deal is pretty good......but you may want to check your local shops (if youhavnet already) cuz its a fairly well stocked case at comp shops......all teh shops around me have it in stock ( Im in RI)......you can see my site for lots of internal pics of teh cas and some modding ideas to it, again my Q600N is the EXACT same as the Q500n your getting except the front bezel.......so check out my site for more info.......

I also have a pIII 700e system oc'd to 945mhz presently witha Gorb.....my suggestion would be to plan on adding a couple 120mm's to this case if your gonna OC mostly for the sheer size of this case.......you need the power to move the air from within it... 😉 I love my case......and it is a BEAST!

if you have aymoe questions about this case..you can either contact me thru my site or email me here Contact Diceman

hope i helped.......oh btw: my power supply is a Powerman 300 watter and is a pretty standard PSU for this case....but beware of little sites that pull the switchy and give cheap PSU's instead...im pretty sure Mwave.com is credible though.....so you should be fine 😉

I ended up ordering this case through egghead.com after I found them listed as cheapest at pricegrabber.com. Damage was only $95 of so and I'm supposed to get back a 5% discount as a new customer.

Nice site Diceman. I'll probably have some more questions once I get this whole thing put together. I'm not looking to o/c to the max, just want to get my PIII 700 up to 933Mhz if I can. Anything extra without going great guns in the cooling department will just be a nice bonus.

i have a Q500. my brother got it for about $75 i think down in san diego. excellent case. running a P3 700@980 with Gorb. excellent layout and very sturdy. too many power connectors to use up but then again, i have a baybus to regulate all my fan speeds. my case temp is always under 90 degrees F (usually 83) and CPU ranges from 83 to 105 for full load. when i bought mine two years ago, it had only a 250W PS so i upgraded to an enermax 350W PS.

hope that helps.
