Invisibleshield for DSLR's?

I'm wondering if there's some sort of leave-on covering for DSLR's that can save it from handling marks and maybe even the odd knock. I have the Sony wrap, which is actually pretty effective in use but at the same time it's a hassle to wrap, especially one-handed when you're juggling bags.

There are a few options for protecting the LCD, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

They're built quite tough, so unless you're planning on rock climbing with them, they shouldn't suffer much damage. And even then, just get a better shoulder strap that locks it in place behind your back; problem solved, lol.

No, never carry a DSLR on my person - it's always loose in my bag. Which is the issue.

Then the issue is with your bag - if you use something made specifically for DSLR cameras, nothing should be rattling around or getting knocked up. I only have a cheap one from Tamrac (that I want to upgrade from) but it keeps everything snug and safe. The bag itself has taken a few hard knocks and falls with the camera inside, but nothing happened to either my camera or lenses.

Yes, but a DSLR isn't the focal point of my daily pack, which is why I carry a normal messenger bag / laptop bags, etc.

Enthusiasts travel with their camera bags I understand, but I have no interest in that. Photography is like Z- on my list of daily priorities but I'd rather that my gear didn't end up looking like crap.

I put my camera and lens in my laptop bag; not designed for it, but it's fine.

During events, it's slung over my shoulder and constantly hits my belt/bag/whatever else is around at the time. It's been nearly 2 years, and besides some scuff marks on my lens hood (which I put on simply to take the abuse in place of my lens) my camera looks fine.

Sounds like you want something along the Crumpler Haven line of padded inserts for any bag you want.
