Hello,

Is it important to buy invisible Shield and case for a Smartphone ?

For example for the S3 or the moto x or the Nexus 4 ?

I want to have less scratch as possible on my screen ?

are invisible shield and case good ?

What kind of model of invisible shield and case to recommend to me ?

I don't want to have bubble air between the screen and the invisible shield

some stores can install a special invisible shield.

Thank-you !

I dislike screen protectors. Plastic ones feel odd, and glass ones are more prone to scratching than the screen itself because they're (to my knowledge) not made of Gorilla Glass. I live in Florida and sand gets everywhere, and it's one of the few things that can scratch a screen made of G-glass. I expect my Moto X will accumulate a few scratches over its lifetime, but it's worth it to me to not use a screen protector. I can see a case being made for it if you plan to resell your phone at some point, or don't mind the feel of a plastic protector, but the glass ones are expensive to replace regularly.

As for a case, that depends on how clumsy you are. My step brother would have destroyed his Galaxy S3 10 times over by now had he not had a massive case on it. I have been using smartphones without a case for 4 years and have never done anything more than scuff the edges.

Case, maybe depends on how often you drop your phone or how slippery the thing is. Screen protector not really useful with the adaptation of gorilla glass pretty much widespread, your unlikely to scratch a screen unless you play with sharp objects with your phone. Also I hate the feeling of screen protectors, they all feel like crap.

Check out iSmooth for screen protector. I can't say it's best or anything like that since my experiences are limited, but among what I have tried (like 5 different brands) iSmooth's products were most satisfying. I myself do not use screen protectors any more but I apply them for my family's phones.

Get a TPU or TPU-border case to protect vs drops. You only need a screen protector if you're going to carry other stuff in the same pocket as the phone. IMO it really degrades the touch experience.

The glass screen protectors do scratch more easily than the screen glass. My 5S screen protector does have a few small scratches on it.

I just consider that it's probably saved my regular screen from getting scratches and I can take it off and put a new one on next year sometime. That's one of the reason you buy BodyGuardz. Their lifetime replacement warranty will let you get a new one for about $10.

I don't get the point of screen protectors. They negatively impact the user experience, and my unprotected phones have fared well without them.
