I have my eyes on an Ipod, but does anyone know which one would you buy for the best performance?

I heard that new Sony 30 (is it 30?) gig HD one lasts 30 hours on one battery/charge (don't remember which it uses)

That alone is pretty amazing, but you still have to convert files to that lame .atrac format for it to play, kinda lame, that's the downside of my current NetMD Minidisk player... along with no storage :)

can you be more specific about 'best performance'? also, what's your budget, preference on size, features, etc...

rio carbon, 5GB micro-drive, 20hrs of playback, intuitive interface, drag and drop (no 3rd party software needed) functionality, looks good, id3 tag sorting, smallest micro-drive player.
