Well currently im still using a good old gateway CRT that happens to be about 10 years old and im "borrowing" a friends spare 8ms samsung SyncMaster 172N. Well ill have to give it back soon and its probably time to buy a new one.
After some research im looking to buy the ViewSonic VP930B. Im still using VGA but i plan on building a $1600+ rig in september after AMD and Intel have both their new chips out.
My friend was talking to me about HD-DVD and how current monitors wont play them. If im going to bust out $400 (im a college student) on a monitor i plan on using it for years. Is this something i really need to worry about and should i wait a couple months to see what comes out? or should i just buy it and enjoy 1000:1 8ms grey to grey bliss?
Thanks
