Hey guys, heres a question for everyone who knows about stocks and understand the way the market works etc. I want to make a small investment on some tech stocks, I need advice what to get.
I am thinking of getting a few long term stocks (1 yr - 3yr)

I would like to get Ebay, microsoft, and maybe google. what do you guys think?
I think ebay is a great buy because they dont have any competition and they continue to grow all the time. Plus if Bush unveils his new social security plan, and people will start investing in private accounts, I think it could drive some stock prices up, especially blue chips. if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to tell me.

anyone think google has any potential for growth?

Try this site.

It was created by Jim Kramer. He is a really smart guy that has written a couple of books and is on CNBC and has his own radio show.

Google may be a good shot if you can afford the $185/share price tag. Right now its $25 off its 52 week high. You better be able to take the major swings in this stock if you buy into it.

In any event, no more than 20% of you portfolio should be in tech.

You really should do your own research - do you really wanna take stock advice from a bunch of computer geeks.

Safest bet would be a tech index mutual fund or ETF.

I'm lazy so I just stick with S&P 500 index funds like VFINX instead of trying to guess which market segment will outperform the others.

www.Fool.com might help

I follow Bob Brinker's advice (although, I do my own research as well). So far, totally in the green and with a good gain percentage, too.
