Iraqs Oil For Food Program

It's about time.

If the allegations prove true it will explain some nations lack of cooperation in regards to Iraq, even beyond war/military approach.

Those who were corrupt wanted Saddam to stay in power and the Status Quo to remain the same so they could keep collecting their big cash.

The chant here in the US was "No War for Oil" - Looks like if there would have been "No War" it would have been for oil as well.

Yea Kofi did his best to cover it up for over a year now. Now he has to act outraged and call for an investigation. There really isn't anything left to investigate. We have got all the evidence already. All Kofi's investigation will be is a sham to protect himself from incrimination. Kofi Annan is as corrupt as anyone involved in the oil for food/kickbacks program.

How did Kofi do his best to cover it up? Where you getting your information?

He is calling for "an independent commission that would go beyond an internal United Nations probe of alleged corruption and mismanagement in the oil-for-food program."

There may be some corruption involved in the oil for food program, but I would say it is nothing compared to the war for oil program created by Bush.
