What do you all think?

MSFT will probably have less risk, but I think AMD has more growth potential...

I have 400 shares of Microsoft. It seems to be slowly rising in the past week. For the past year it has been at the pretty much the same level. It goes up, then down to where it was again. Great stock to day trade. AMD is more risky.

Don't invest in potential unless you have five to ten years to wait to realize its return.

I am in AMD, it has been fairly flat for me and I am sitting on a loss right now. NVDA is my big holding and has been creeping up a bit lately, although it is nowhere near those heady highs of +1500% like back in 2001. *sigh* ;)

I'm looking at AMD myself... but options.... I'm waiting for this quarter to be over with before making a decision.

if you're going to invest tech, do it in a company specializing in mobile electroncs. amd and intel would qualify, but personally i don't see anything hot coming out of these 2 anytime soon.
