Inventions/Ideas Experience?

I have what I feel are several great product ideas but no time or money to patent them or develop them on my own. I've considered simply offering them up to companies that I feel could develop and market them in exchange for the finished product and anything else they might offer for the favor (employment, products, etc.). Naturally, I won't disclose my ideas here for fear that they'd be "misappropriated," however, I'd like options on how to pursue/distribute these ideas while benefitting somehow from them without undue burden on myself. Any ideas?

PS-I have no time as stated above as I've just become an adoptive parent on top of a full-time job, full-time college and an Army Reserve commitment.

You mean start my own Dell? 😉

Actually, one of the products I've come up with is one I'd like to offer to Dell, believing that they'd take care of me for offering it up to them (maybe I'm naiive, who knows...).

Well I tried to start an AT-Invention team awhile ago.. I also have a ton of ideas but have no idea how to begin start developing them...

Sort of Rogue, Sort of...

But yeah, the best thing you can do is gather a team of young people with nothing really to lose and start working at it. Read a couple business books, get LLC'ed or incorporated, go to trade shows, get you're name out there, attract seed money and hopefully get gobbled up by a larger corporation.

If you do the grunt work getting the company built, and if your product/service is satisfactory, odds are a larger corp would love to buy you out for a couple of mill for your IP.

Ok, this spawned my interest back into my idea.. I contacted a company that I would be interested in dealing with, and they RESPONDED INSTANTLY wanting to chat.. Anyone know how I can protect my idea?
