"Hundreds of the mostly Honduran migrants who set out with the caravan that has traversed hundreds of miles through three countries before arriving in Mexico City this week have returned home, according to the Mexican government. Some grew disillusioned. Others simply wore out. Still others were detained and returned, or gave up on waiting for possible asylum in Mexico and accepted bus rides back home.

[...]

Mexican authorities say some 3,230 migrants from the caravan have requested refuge. Alba used to be one of them. But shut in at an immigration center and unable to communicate with his children — he had no money or cell phone — he dropped his application and agreed to return to Honduras. Some 480 others have done the same, according to the Mexican government."

But stay vigilant, Yahoo Militia Boyz, the next time the threat will be even more insidious . . . because KIDS present smaller targets:

Pablo Alba choked up thinking about how his 11-year-old son wrapped his arms around his neck and begged to be taken on the journey north. Alba said no, not wanting the boy to risk the arduous trek.

“If there must be suffering, I will go alone,” he said, recalling that Oct. 13 day when he set off to join the caravan with only the clothes on his back.

The 64-year-old had never thought about emigrating before because he had always been able to find work. A trained veterinarian, he ended up selling tamales cooked by his landlady, and it wasn’t nearly enough to support his family.

[...]

He intends to try again in March — only this time he will bring his kids.":eek::eek:

As an American, and the proud grandson of immigrants, I say, "Give us your tired, your . . . No, wait, Build the Wall, 'cause Fox Newz makes me stupid and skeered!"

You can be the proud grandson of immigrants, but that's just it. Grandson. 40, 80, 120 years later our policy needs to be changed. There is no more wild frontier, there is no unclaimed land. At some point the door MUST be closed. Why not now, while we still have clean water? Add another 100 million to the United States and it could be too late.

Population growth would simply result in more rapid resource depletion and environmental destruction. Do you want that? This planet is a finite space, our growth upon it must end. Got to start somewhere.

Dont think you have to worry about clean water. Trumps gutting of the EPA will take care of that.

Migration doesn't increase world population. A few thousand refugees is a drop in the bucket as to this country's population, as well.

Meanwhile, we're spending a few $100M to send troops away from their families as a political stunt to froth up the fearful GOP faithful.

Yeah, apparently he thinks we only let in immigrants into this country to expand it and not simply to be a beacon of light that showed the world how a melting pot of people can create the greatest country on earth.

He also, wrongly, thinks that existing people in a hostile environment living in countries barely able to support their citizens is better for the environment than taking those same people into a society that is better equipped to handle them and to do it more efficiently.

What the deplorable doesn't realize is that he harbors the same "fuck you I got mine" attitude that is so prevalent in his circles while advocating for a universal basic income. The irony, of course, is lost on him.

That and... we westerlings dont breed enough to sustain our population.. Japan is facing that reality right now, who is going to care for the elderly? Population control seems to solve it self once a societ reaches a certain stage... Its almost like there is a solution to the overpopulation problem in there somewhere... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... Should we elevate our neighbors? NAAAAAH FYGM, NUKE EM...

Can't reduce a threat that was never real to begin with.

Ha ha ha ha.
#1 - His AG has not even been confirmed. Watch for this to be challenged.
#2 - He's not going to be able to change rules on asylum on his own.
This will be in court before he can even test it.

Here it is:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/white-house-readies-crackdown-asylum-seekers-coming-mexico-230721573.html
"According to NBC News, administration officials were expecting to be sued over the new asylum plan even before it can be implemented. But the network said the White House had decided to go ahead with the regulations, counting on a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court, which has been remade by Trump’s appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to replace retired Justice Anthony Kennedy, who voted with the 5-4 majority against Trump’s earlier travel ban, in Trump v. Hawaii."

More bullshit from the lard ass cheeto.
