Invasion (the TV show)

Well, I watched about half of todays episode. I give up. Never watching that show again.

Still don't know what hte point of the show is. I might as well watch a soap opera that is about possession.

I'm reaching that point too.

Was it a big let down for you to? I was waiting for this show for months prior to the premier. Not with heightened expectations, but with the hopes that a good X-files type show would appear to save us.

I was like that after the 2nd episode. It really just seems to be going nowhere. I've found Surface much more enjoyable.

I think Threshold is better. Invasion is more of an afterthought on my DVR. My primary show is Rome right now. I'll watch the other recorded shows before Invasion, even The Apprentice.

I JUST made a thread after this one was started lol here's what I said in mine:

anyone else watching Invasion through the first several episodes? I just feel like nothing really happens on the show at all. It's really vague, and not in a compelling way. I'm trying to be patient with it, but it's just not suspenseful. Anyone else feel the same?

Threshold is wiiiicked good yo...i thurougly enjoy it. Action, suspense, etc. This show seems to be trying to figure out what it's doing. I don't think they had a good idea of how to build suspense. It's honestly just annoying at this point.

After seeing the EMP blast on Surface, I'm convinced these 2 shows are clones of each other. Both have to do with deep sea creatures coming and wreaking havoc on humanity.

Just watch The 4400. The premise, acting and writing are better, and it started a year earlier.

 - I said it before... such a shame - if they put a good show after LOST, ABC would've kicked ass on Sundays + Wednesdays.

Surface is just as bleh to me. It's been 5 episodes of more of the same from the previous episode.

Yah I"m not liking surface either....absolutely NO interest in the characters. The plots are redundant and solved within the shows with little carryover: (uht oh, the gremlin thing is missing, oh ok it came back at teh end of the show). Nothing big really happens, the writers just seem like they're hoping that they think of something 10 episodes in to make all the garbage beforehand worthwhile too

Invasion is pretty good. It goes somewhere every week, but not really towards anything really important. A bit like Lost in a way. Where one thing is revealed, something else is opened up.

Don't give up on it yet. Especially with the previews for next week. Ohh yeah. 😉

you gotta be kidding. surface is the most poorly written, most over-hyped waste of time i can remember. yuck.

now, EARL, that's a good show!!!!

heh, the only reason I watch it is because it's on after Lost and I just don't bother to turn the TV off right away.

Invasion sucks. Total waste of time, I quit after episode 3.

New spooky-type mystery shows:

Supernatural > Threshold > Surface > Invasion.

Earl is great as well. I don't know what it is about Surface that I like but for some reason I like it.

Surface is developing really slowly though. It seems like they are taking the premise of a week long mini-series and are going to try and stretch it over one or two seasons. I don't see Surface having any longevity simply because of that.

Invasion just skips around way too much. Last weeks episode about the monkeys was just dumb, but then this week (which I'm guessing only a few days past) had NO reference to this massive virus that was gonna infect hundreds of people. It's really becoming a letdown.

I started by tivoing Invasion, Surface, Threshold, Supernatural, My name is EArl, and The Office (2nd season). Of these I watch My Name is EArl, The office, and sometimes Supernatural. I to was hoping for a good X-fileish show but all of them fell far short except for Supernatural, it has been ok. THe Office is the best show on imho right now followed by Earl. 😉

Of new shows I started watching- I gave up on Rome after 4 episodes (I found it boring), Invasion is getting very annoying and I'm about to give up (it's a lame soap opera), Supernatural isn't bad but not high on my list... Threshhold I am loving more and more and finally, Prison Break is the new best show by far.

If it wasn't for the plot on Prison Break, that show would be the worst ever. Not one character can act on the show. I wouldn't mind at all if they suddenly changed the whole cast.

the previews have loooked like that EVERY week. it's the same garbage every show. Lost at least looks like it's moving somewhere. We know as much about anything on Invasion now as we do at the beginning of the show even though a few weeks have pased since the hurricane. it would be like if Lost had spend 5 episodes covering the first hour after the plane crash.

word, just horrible writing, horrible acting, no likable characters really...can anyone name most of the characters on that show? It looks liek they made a bunch of episodes then aired them in random order...which is one of the thigns that doomed Committed on NBC last year.
