The climate change report that multiple agencies signed off on that not only says climate change is a thing, it also said it will cost the US billions of dollars.
I believe the Mueller stuff is speculation right now.

Immigration Reform:
Fold the border partol and coast guard into one department at the DOD so BP can get some of that sweet defense budget cheddar.
Staff up border patrol and ditch ridiculous fence/wall idea for a soft border with a higher catch rate.
Expand on the digital fence to shore up soft spots.
Build clean, new housing/detention facilities to process amnesty applicants as well as illegal crossing.
Faster/more fluid temporary work Visa program so economic migrants/transients have legal options.
At either a benchmark or after a period of time, open access to temp work Visa's/ Green Card to undocumented "grandfathered in". Path to citizenship for all free of single felony or multiple misdemeanor violations in 8/16 years.
I mean it's not great but I came up with that food coma'd out of my mind on Thanksgiving leftovers. Sure it has problems, but it's better than all or nothing/build a wall propositions I'm sure...

Don't some countries simply just shoot those who illegally cross their borders? Of course I am not saying that we should do this, far from it.

I think there's at least a nugget of a good idea in there.
It ultimately boils down to two things most people can agree on: implement meaningful security (i.e. no pointless physical border walls), and more importantly, be human about immigration. Provide more legal options; take good care of the people who come in; offer people who've been here a long time a chance to make things right, rather than giving them the boot purely out of spite.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the same administration who forced brown kids from their parents and held them in cages and tent cities is now tear gassing brown kids at the border.
I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I would advocate desertion for our troops at the border now--before they are forced into some live fire scenario against unarmed civilians. Ain't no shame in desertion rather than serving a two-bit fascist clown pretending at being Commander in chief. You'll face court martial and dishonorable discharge at the least, but in the long run you'll save your soul.
