I've got a D-Link DWL520 PCI Card that I'm trying to install on my new computer. I have Windows XP Home edtion, and when I try to download the driver for the DWL520 I get the message that's in my title.

XP recognizes the new hardware and asks for the driver disc. but I't won't download the driver.

My Computer is Soyo Dragon+ mobo with 512mb crucial ram.

The DWL520 is supposed to be XP compatible out of the box. I even downloaded xp drivers off of the D-Link support site and still get the same message on installation.

Thanks to all who reply.

I got it working now.

I had to download the latest drivers from the windows xp update and use the newest drivers from D-Link. Disable my ethernet connection and do a fresh update of the drivers then let the xp software configure my network! 😀

Piece of cake~!
