invalid file/folder name??

i have this folder on my desktop which was created by a program i use (it rips live winamp mp3s) but the folder name was accidentally created starting with .. and then also ends with ..

now i can't rename this folder or delete it from my desktop. i tried using command prompt but it doesnt' see the folder. any quick fix for this? i know some 3rd party system tools can probably do it, but any other ways i can do this w/o installing anything extra?

thanks.

thanks for the response, but it doesn't show in the cmd prompt (and yes i am in the right directory) its just not there. but it shows on my desktop.

Does it show up in windows explorer? Try opening a windows explorer window and browsing to your desktop folder, see if you can manipulate it that way. You may have to log on in safe mode as the administrator so you get a different desktop (so the folder isn't displayed when your normal desktop loads).
