Intrusion Switch Connector

I need this connector to fit on the motherboard pins, but I have no idea of what to call it, or what to look for. Any help?

Have you gone through the manual? That is going to be the easiest way...

It should be in the area of the manual that you hook up the hd LED and other case connections to the mobo.

Your manual should provide you with the proper installation. It's different with each mobo.

I've read the manual, and I didn't even know that the provision for an intrusion switch even existed, until I installed an RMA and for some reason, it gave me a black screen regarding it. There is no information either in the manual, or at the website pertaining to this.

However, the question is not one specific to any particular motherboard, because the pins on motherboard are all about the same...in terms of diameter and I think in terms of the spacing between pins. So, I don't think that the particular brand or model matters.

Actually, since not all motherboards have the provisions for an intrusion switch, it is fairly brand/model specific. If your motherboard had the pins for an intrusion switch, the manual or manufacturer's specs would say as much.

what exactly does this switch do once triggered? Guessing its the side panel trigger on some TT cases(and others).

I believe that since it's my motherboard, and my manual, I have a better idea of what it has and says than you do.

It simply gives a black screen, preventing a person from booting to desktop, and provides an alert to the owner that the case was opened. It not really much, but I like to use what is there.

I ended up taking an unused front panel LED cable from my case, which has the connector attached. Now I have to find some 2MM machine screws to attach the switch to the case...not a common commodity.
