Introducing the ATI Radeon 9200 SE

Evidently, the RADEON 9200 SE is a RADEON 9200-derivative designed for value-minded customers who can afford a graphics card at very low price-point or simply do not need a powerful solution. RADEON 9200 SE graphics processor is clocked at 200MHz, memory of the product is clocked at 333MHz, but there is no information whether 64-bit or 128-bit memory bus is implemented.

As a result, ATI?s RADEON 9200 family looks like this:

* RADEON 9200 PRO: 275/550MHz for core/memory, D-Sub, DVI-I, TV-Out connectors, 128 or 64MB of DDR SDRAM, AGP 8x, DirectX 8.1;
* RADEON 9200: 250/400MHz for core/memory, D-Sub, DVI-I, TV-Out connectors, 128 or 64MB of DDR SDRAM, AGP 8x, DirectX 8.1;
* RADEON 9200 SE: 200/333MHz for core/memory, D-Sub, DVI-I, TV-Out connectors, 128 or 64MB of DDR SDRAM, AGP 8x, DirectX 8.1;
* RADEON 9200 SE: 200/333MHz for core/memory, D-Sub, DVI-I connectors, 64MB of DDR SDRAM, PCI, DirectX 8.1;

Currently VisionTek offers 128 and 64MB RADEON 9200 SE graphics cards for AGP 8x and 64MB RADEON 9200 SE graphics card for PCI-bus. Pricing of all devices to be unveiled and may vary.

The 7500 is basically an Ultra or Pro version of the original Radeon

I'm seriously confused...I want to replace my 7500 with something sometime soon...and the plethora of cards they have confuses the **** out of me...

Depending on budget, a 9100, 9600, 9600 Pro are all great choices at their price level. Here in the US the Sapphire cards are good and a little cheaper than ATI name-brand.

actually it is smart of ati.
and its not just ati launching too many cards.
ati needs something to compete pricewise with the 5200...
5200 is so damn slow and cheap, ati has nothing to compete with.
ati is really loosing out on this segement.
also nvidia is launching se versions of their 5200 and 5600
