When 50 Cent smiles, his eyes narrow into tight little slits. For a guy who has been shot nine times, who began selling crack when he was twelve,

He was as close as I am to you," 50 says. We're sitting across from each other at a narrow conference table in the office of his management company, in Manhattan's Flatiron district. 50 tugs down his lower lip and leans forward to display the spot where the bullet lodged in his lower gum. There's still a gaping wound where several of his rear teeth should reside.

This guys still got a lot of enemies

The dude wears a bullet proof vest around all the time... that would suck, unless you got shot.

i read this article in my rolling stone mag a few days ago. i think 50 cent is a good rapper. ive been listening to him for awhile now. i like the fact that he can talk about the street, and not be doing it as a gimmick, because he's been through it all. drugs, being shot, stabbed, fueds with rival rappers, and having his mom murdered when he was 8. im looking forward to this album, and if i had the money and time, id go by his super bowl party/cd release party after the game this sunday. oh well. it was a well written article.

The guy is a dog, as evidenced by his lyrics. He'll end up dead and we'll laugh. Another pathetic rapper down the drains.

Shot 9 times? What do these morons have something about shooting your intended victim in the head? One head shot and he'd be joining the ranks of 6 Feet Under (Formerly known as Tupac Shakur)

No it's cause I hate the guy. He's an example of societal crap. His music aside here we have a crack dealer/user who flaunts his own developmental shortcomings in so-called music to the younger generation doing nothing but talking up that which should be frowned upon. Read the article: the guy loves the fact that his life is meaningless and always will be. Rap is one of the few legal ways that an otherwise deadbeat individual can actually become famous and rich/

A real role-model for today's easily impressionable youth. We should take 50 Cent and EMinem, use 75 cents worth of rope and hang them both.

I can't believe so many people like to hear loser criminals like this talk about shooting people and doing drugs and all this horrible stuff. It is really sad.

I'm against censorship as the next guy and not saying that this garbage should be censored, but fact is you take some uneducated 14 year old and submit him to CD upon CD of audio filth and in time he'll think that it's cool to cap some sucka and 187 on a mutha-f**kin cop!

Exactly. I'm not saying it should be censored, I'm just saying why would people actually like this? It's not so much just the rappers that gets me. It's that so many people listen to it. So many people glorify the lifestyle of lowlife criminal scum.

i agree with you on this statement skroob, but i also heavily believe its the parents responsibility to be made aware of what theyre kids are listening to and make them understand what they're saying is not socially ethic. if i had a 14 year old kid, i kno i wouldnt want them to listen to 50 cent or eminem. but i kno that they would hear it at a friends or try to hide it from me. but i would make it my responsibility as a parent to instill the proper values in them to distingusih between expression and reality so it could be avoided in the future. and this would be completed at an early age.

its artistic expression. its crude, its horrifying, but it may also be the truth. you may not agree with it, but you have to understand this a society where one thing may appease one group of people, but not the next. if you told me you liked country, and i would say thats my preference and walk away and leave it that.
