Intresting Challenge question (for the science/physics people)

Friend asked me this, I still don't see a clear answer...

How can you determine the mass of the air inside a large balloon using only the balloon, a thin rubber band, a small weight (such as a steel ball), and a clock/timer? You do know the mass of the balloon (5.0 g), rubber band (0.5 g), and small weight (50.0 g) but you do not have access to a balance, or scale, to determine the mass of the air inside.
