Into the Mystic...

So they are studying the effects of taking shrooms?

Didn't most people partake in this experiment in their youth already? 😛

experience included such things as a sense of pure awareness and a merging with ultimate reality, a transcendence of time and space, a feeling of sacredness or awe

I swear I figured out the answers to the universe once but after the drugs wore off I couldn't remember what they were 🙁

It boggles my mind that they were allowed to run this test, while people are jailed for smoking pot with a prescription.

From TFA:

Even two months after taking the drug, pronounced SILL-oh-SY-bin, most of the volunteers said the experience had changed them in beneficial ways, such as making them more compassionate, loving, optimistic and patient. Family members and friends said they noticed a difference, too.

But... but... drugs are BAD, mmmmkay?! Aren't they?

I'm 32 and I've never taken drugs in my life... but after reading that article I want to try these mushrooms. 🙂

People are supposed to be that way normally, though. That someone has to take this to be human is scary.

My friend moved back to Chicago and has had the hardest time finding a good reliable source...I used to be interested but fearful, but after my last bad acid trip, I dunno.

Methinks I'll stick to the liquids.
