Anyone work in the IT field?

Depending on your field, it may not even be so important. I work in the IT field as a switch tech. Twice, I went to the restroom, I got people asking what I did, what company, and was I willing to move. This only happened once in the elevators. One time, a head-hunter went into our offices and my boss was not there so he straight up asked the 4 of us techs that were currently at the switch!

I actually went to this head hunter eventually. The interview lasted an hour. Ten minutes later, I was on the highway when another head hunter got my cell from a college and asked me for an interview. I told him I was on interstate 76 and he was like, "oh, what exit?" I told him and he said take the 3rd exit from here. 15 minutes later, it was my second interview. This one lasted 2 hours. Geez...

Then on the way home from that, I get a call from the first head hunter. He wanted me to go to a interview with a firm. Told him I was tired, and scheduled it for the next day.

So for anyone looking for a job or in school, IT is the way to go! Anything IT, they always looking for you. But try to go to the data side, it pays more. :)

hehe, I'm working in IT but with only 10 months experience and living in a crappy area its not quite as easy as you make it look :)

If I moved to the states (like boston) I'd be rolling in cash, but the girlfriend isn't quite finished school.
