interviewing to become a T.A. for a class?

They'll ask about any previous teaching experience, your experience with the subject manner, your class schedule and your workload. Well... if I was interviewing for one that's what I would ask.

qualifications and how being a TA aligns with your goals.

You don't wanna be a TA. Trust me. I regret agreeing to the duties. It a lot of tedious work like reading papers and then grading them.

it is just a lot of grunt work.

The easiest thing I did so far was proctor an exam, but then I had spend the next 8 hours grading them🙁 They were fill in the blank/short answer type which makes it worse.

I'm spending all of tomorrow reading 50 extra credit essays.

The only good thing is that I get to use the prof's office during non-office hours, I'm finally getting a key next week too.

How much do you get paid to TA?

$10 an hour because I'm, a grad student. The Org. Mgt.department has $3K for 14 non-PhD TAs, so when the money dries up I'm not doing any more work. Some of the other kids get $7.

and it's not enough for the idiots I have to put with.

Some of the kids don't even belong. I firmly believe that the only reason they got in is because of AA. One of them spelt Know as "NO" on the midterm. It wasn't a typo either. He did it 4 times. These are 3rd and 4th year students that should know better.

What? You got paid to be a T.A. in school? I was only given 3 credit hours for a semester full of grunt work. I hate you all.
