I'm a recent college grad and I've just applied for a Team Management position. What should I expect to be paid hourly? I hope to move up the ladder eventually. Thanks.

I know salaried management at walmart which is usually college grads that are made into assistent managers make about $33,000 for a starting salary.

DONT WORK AT TARGET THEY ARE THE DEVIL !!!!

Management positions pay around 30k starting I believe. But trust me...... well never mind, dont trust me. Find out for yourself/.

I worked for Target when I was a senior in High School. The managers sucked, I have never been treated like a sub-human like I did when I worked there. One day I finally had enough of the constant bullsh*t and just walked out while giving the assistant store manager the finger. That was 15 years ago and to this day I still boycott Target.

I have a friend who just got a job there in STL. Makes 36 to start. Works about 60 hour weeks he says, weekends too.

Basically a manager for like 2 years, then claims you move corporate and make big bucks. However, he thinks he will get burned out, and is looking to move jobs already.

I doubt they will move someone straight to corporate after 2 years. If that was the case then there would be a pile of bodies at corporate and nobody to run the stores.

The may say, IF you do X amount of dollars and no one does better we MIGHT move you to corporate. If its not in writing then don't believe it.

Actually, the reality is not many of the people who start out where he is last 2 years.

Hence, there is not an overflow of candidates to move into an office position. I am skeptical myself, but the turnover in his position is very high.

Not just any moron off the street can get this job. The position is designed to familiarize yourself with the retail aspects of Target, then transition into a leadership role in a corporate environment. Target is not stupid enough to leave intelligent, capable employees in their stores for 5 years being a manager of retarded 16 yr. olds.

So dismissive.

I work for Target, but really have now idea about how applying for this type of position would work. All L3 and above interviews are done by district. If you're management you're salaried, Team Leads (supervisors) are paid ~$13 hourly I believe.

Target screws you over... i know because i work there currently back in my home town. Im SUPPOSED to get a raise in October, however seeing that im here at college, they cant meet me to give me more money. Because of that, it pushes it back and i cant make the time up because of school... Just another way they try to save more money.
