What better to do with my first post then commiserate my 3rd failure at landing a job at Amazon.com. I know you folks have something to better to read than this, but just feel the need to post my troubles.

Its amazing, you figure that given 3 chances I would get better at the the interview process but for some reason have performed worst with each attempt.

Bout 2 years ago I interviewed there, "aced" the phone screen and then did "soso" at the 5 hour in house interview. Needless to say I didnt get it.

About 6 months ago, I got another phone screen. I suppose my screener thought I was on the bubble and asked if I would mind doing a 2nd phone screen with another dev. I said ok, and of course bombed the 2nd screen, fumbling with my words and going absolutely blank twice during the call.

Enter last week, given a 3rd(3RD!) chance, I didnt event get passed the first screening.

CRUSHING. The wierd thing is that I know a few devs there and feel that I measure well in comparison to them, but its like the curse of the Bambino. Maybe I have attracted the curse of Bezoso or somethin.

Anyway, I guess I'll give it another go in a year or so(I can't believe I can even think of trying again).

Maybe you should interview occasionally with companies you don't necessarily have much interest in, just to sharpen your interview skills.
