interview or waste of time?

I just got a message from a company saying they want to interview me for a development position. The online job description says that candidate "MUST know VB" in big bold letters. "Only apply IF you have strong VB experience."

I don't know Visual Basic. No where on my resume does it state that I know VB at all. I just submitted my resume just because it's so easy (just a few mouse clicks). I figured they would just reject my resume. No big loss. However, they called me this morning to arrange an interview.

I don't know if they liked my resume so much, they can overlook the fact that I don't know VB or if they assume I know VB just because I applied.

Should I interview or will it just be waste of time?

Go dawg.... just to get more practice interviewing.... that's always important. Then when they offer the job, say you don't want it.... or if you get accepted, take it.

eh, VB is just another language. As long as your fundamentals are strong and have other programming experience I don't see a problem.

Yeah, if they question you about the lack of VB experience I would say they called you based on your resume and that's all you know about it.
