Interesting read on how Point Lookout went from concept to completion. This DLC is set in the swamps of Maryland and will be roughly one-fifth the size of the entire Fallout 3 gameworld.

Bethesda posted six new screenshots here and of course the gaming press has had their go with it the DLC as well during E3:

Shacknews
Gamespot
Destructoid
Planet Fallout
Team Xbox
Bright Side of News
1Up
GameSpy

Kotaku is reporting that Gamestop has broken the street date for the DLC cards. Bethesda is saying that the codes won't work yet but some are reporting that they do in fact work.

Entry #1: Today we had a vote about whether or not we should actually test our products before releasing them. The vote was inconclusive, so the matter is still undecided.

;)

Haha...yeah, I meant to write something about how I hope they can release this DLC without any major problems. Fourth time's the charm! ;)

Did the first one have problems? I got that the day it came out and everything was fine. Haven't gotten any since then though.

I think the issues for Anchorage were primarily on the PC side of things but they were there.

Edit: Mis-read Queasy's post.

The problems weren't PC-only.

I was speaking specifically about Operation Anchorage.

Ah, I see that now in your post. My bad. :)

Still, the fact of the matter is that Bethesda obviously doesn't put the effort into releasing quality DLC.

Anyone who tried to play the original Daggerfall will know that Bethesda has an uncomfortable relationship with QA. That game was quite literally unplayable, and this is back before it was possible to send out patches for games. It truly could not be played in a meaningful way.
