Interstate 55 - road conditions

is the interstate bad? ok? snow or ice?
anyone living close to this see anything on the local news about problems?

i am stuck in paducah and looking for an alternate route to atlanta, I-24 is still a pile of steaming poo (literally, people have been stuck on it without facilities for many, many hours )

hey, i am stuck and the kentucky highway dept. road conditions hot line has a recording "I-24 has snow on the road" <loop> .

they don't bother to mention the 1000's of people trapped on it for the last 36 hours
